Signs and Synchronicity
Signs and Synchronicity |
Do you believe in signs? God I do and this morning as the Geese flew over in the pitch black and were the first birds to sing, we shot out of bed and opened the blinds. We couldn't see them but we did see the most beautiful moon and stars, truly 'awe'some. The geese are one of my favourite things to see and they always make me giddy and this morning it was like they were saying to me, get up, look at this beautiful sight, it's going to be a great day. So we did and I did the usual, stretched, wrote and there was some personal frustration in my head this morning that I needed to get out and onto the page, something tricky I needed to work through. I'd just written it down and boiled the kettle again and nipped to the loo (where my library is) and this book was staring at me and I thought, wow I need that atm. One of my customers, herself a coach had given it to me and I thought "I really need that now", so I started reading it and thought again, "yep this is exactly what I need to be reading". Jon came down and commented on the book and as I flicked through it talking to him, I came across a card in a page, "Daughter in flower life loves you and you love life. You were born to triumph and triumph awaits you." The front of the card "Daughter who perfumes the world.. Reach," with a beautiful illistration of a young girl looking at the moon, with stars all around, symbolically saying "Reach for the stars". I took it as a message directly from my Mum, who's not been well, reminding me of the woman she'd raised me to be and that whatever I choose to do, have the self belief to do it. The card itself was acting as a bookmark in a chapter titling the exact issue that I'd written about in my journal that I had to work through....A sign and a half! And how has the day been? Exactly as the geese promised, just beautiful so far, filled with all those things I value, spending quality time with my boys before the world woke up, running and swimming with my friend in the gorgeous Autumn sunshine, catching up, serving customers to help them be healthy, talking to new customers to help them do likewise, growing my mind with books and writing to clear my head and now documenting it all here, to hopefully inspire you to look for the signs too. The answers are always within us and the signs are always around to remind us of that.

THIS WEEKS RECOMMENDATIONS
Dylan being a bit under the weather at the weekend enabled me to finish a great book loaned to me by Alayne one of our lovely customers and it's a 'unputdownable' read, the best kind! The One Plus One By Jojo Moyes
And podcast wise ooh, I've had some real beauts in my ears most significantly this Dr Chattergee Podcast, which is all about the science of happiness with some lovely takeaways but most notably reminding us that the route of obtaining something we desire is usually by giving more of that to others. If we want to feel more loved, give more love, open up to showing others more love it's the key.
